Sacramento Hmong New Year, Inc. (SHNY) will be celebrating New Year on November 25-28th, 2010 at Cal Expo. The Hmong New Year celebration is a testament of our culture and a preservation of our tradition. Sacramento Hmong New Year is proud to present the 5th annual Miss Hmong California Pageant during the New Year celebration in which Miss Hmong California 2011 will be crown. All qualified contestants are encouraged to apply.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATION:
To be eligible, contestants must fulfill each of the following requirements:
1. Must be a female, single and have never been married either culturally (wedding is completed and recognized by both sides of the family) or legally
2. Must never been arrested or convicted of any crime, including misdemeanors
3. Must have never posed or modeled for any nude photograph(s)
4. Must be 16 to 27 years of age by November 25,2010
5. Must not be pregnant or have any children
6. Must understand Hmong Language
7. At least one biological parent must be of Hmong ethnicity
8. Must not be a current employer/employee or affiliated with/of SHNY
